Throughout this course you will explore a range of tools from creating animations and photorealistic renderings to performing clash detection and quantification.
Starting with an introduction to Building Information Modeling (BIM), this course focuses on applying BIM principles using Autodesk Navisworks. Participants will master navigating the software, integrating models from various platforms, and aligning them accurately.
The curriculum includes saving views, sectioning models, utilising investigation tools, tagging components, clash detection, quantification, creating animations and scripts, constructing timelines, and producing photorealistic renderings.
To successfully participate in this course, ensure the following prerequisites are met:
- Proficiency with Windows and general computer literacy.
- Autodesk Navisworks 2024.0 is required for compatibility with course materials. Be aware that future Autodesk updates may introduce changes not covered in this guide, and files may not be compatible with previous versions like 2023.
- Install the 2024 Civil 3D Object Enabler on the computer running Navisworks.
- Familiarity with 3D design and task-scheduling software is beneficial.
